At their annual Readers’ Choice Awards, held in New York City last week, Travel Weekly awarded Vancouver the top spot in the "Best in Destination: Canada" category. |

WESTJET NAMED ONE OF CDA’S BEST
WestJet recently announced that it has been selected as one of Canada's Best Employers as part of Hewitt Associates 2010 Best Employer Study. Conducted annually, this study determines the 50 best employers in Canada through surveys conducted by Hewitt of more than 100,000 employees across Canada. This is the first year WestJet has participated in the study. More than 3,500 WestJet employees completed the survey. |

Found at intrepidagent.com, the site is multi-functional and will track individual agent’s sales, as well as offer product quizzes - complete with prizes - free downloadable marketing resources, details on new promotions (such as the Aeroplan promotion where customers can earn 500 Aeroplan Miles on bookings over $1,000), and provide a link to each agent’s BDM. On recent Signature Vacations Huatulco FAM, agents donate to the local community on behalf of the Rotary Club
It was on the recent December 2009 FAM to Signature Vacations exclusive destination of Huatulco, Mexico that Canadian agents took the time to give back to the local community. Approached by Rotary Club Huatulco member Bonnie Ganske, owner of Marlin Travel Red Deer and Rocky Mountain House and seasonal resident of Huatulco, agents were asked to bring down gently used clothing to assist the less fortunate in the area. Answering the request, agents were able to donate a trunkful of items for those in need. Signature Vacations would like to thank all of those agents who were able to assist the Rotary Club achieve their goals of aiding the less fortunate in the Huatulco area.

| For the ninth straight year, Flight Centre has been rated among the Top 50 Employers to work for in Canada, according to Report on Business Magazine’s annual rankings. The list of the 50 Best Employers in Canada for 2010 appears in the January issue of The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business magazine and in La Presse. One hundred and thirty-four Canadian organizations registered to participate in the study. The results from this year’s study are based on survey responses from more than 108,000 Canadian employees, with additional input from over 1,200 leaders and human resources professionals.

This new capability, called “Exclusive Offers,” gives agents a selling tool that lets them personalize their approach to each client by accessing all of the promotions for which they are eligible.
