ROCKY MOUNTAINEER EXEC GETS TOP HONOURS
Rocky Mountaineer, Executive Vice President & Chief Operations Officer, James Terry has been officially recognized by Les Clefs d’Or Canada. He was appointed as an honourary member for his work to encourage guest service excellence in the tourism industry and for his support and promotion of Les Clefs d’Or over the last 20 years. Terry received the Clefs d’Or (crossed golden keys) badge and is one of only 18 Canadians who have received this honour since 1976.

EL CID & WESTJET BRING MEXICO TO YVR
El Cid Resorts and WestJet Vacations host become a Mazatlan Specialist evening for Vancouver travel agents
On Thursday, January 7 El Cid Resorts and WestJet Vacations invited travel agents to become Mazatlan Specialists at Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant in downtown Vancouver. The evening highlighted Mexico by featuring Mexican cuisine, Margaritas and offered agents information on Mazatlan. Included in the photo are: Freddie Marsh, representing El Cid Resorts; Dave Emery, representing El Cid Resorts; Norma Cisneros, El Cid Resorts; Kim Tobias, WestJet; Tobe Leney, WestJet; and Alejandro Grageda, Mexico Tourism Board.

JAL & MEXICANA EXPAND CODE SHARE
Japan Airlines (JAL) and Mexicana (MX) announced today that they will expand their code share partnership to cover new routes that will improve the connection between Japan and Mexico, using three mutual gateways in North America - Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver. From January 14, 2010, Japan Airlines will expand its services between Los Angeles and the Mexican city of León/Bajío (Guanajuato) and between San Francisco and Mexico City by adding its "JL" code on flights operated by Mexicana. The frequency of existing code share one-way flights from Tokyo (Narita) to Vancouver operated by JAL, and from Vancouver to Mexico City operated by MX, will also increase from five to seven flights a week starting January 18, 2010 - when reservations and ticket sales will also commence.
