HAL CRUISES INTO EUROPE Holland America Line’s 2011 Europe season will feature the newest Signature-class ship, ms Nieuw Amsterdam, on Mediterranean sailings and more round-trip and 7-day itineraries. Seven ships — Nieuw Amsterdam, ms Eurodam, ms Noordam, ms Rotterdam, ms Prinsendam, ms Maasdam and ms Ryndam — will be based in the region with the first voyage departing April 3 on the Nieuw Amsterdam. |

Japan Airlines releases statement regarding recent file for bankruptcy; says that they are here to stay
As a result of Japan Airlines’ (JAL) recent move to file for bankruptcy, JAL has recently released a message confirming that they are now receiving the support needed to speed up revitalization. The statement titled “JAL. We’re here to stay,” confirms that Japan Airlines Corporation, Japan Airlines International and JAL Capital are now receiving the support of Enterprise Turnaround Initiative Corporation of Japan. In addition, to hurry up the company’s revitalization, these three companies have filed protection at the Tokyo District Court under Japan’s Corporate Reconstruction Law. Mexico is reminding Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada of their new entry requirements as of March 1, 2010. Please note, a visa is not required for Canadian citizens or permanent residents in Canada to visit Mexico as a tourist. Keep readnig to learn what your clients will need to travel to Mexico. All Canadian citizens will be required to present a valid passport, and permanent residents can use any one of three approved document types to enter the country.

'Authentic aboriginal' campaign to identify First Nations tourism operators Canadian Press
Aboriginal tourism operators in B.C. have launched a campaign to identify themselves as ``authentic,'' just in time for next month's Winter Olympics. The Aboriginal Tourism Association of B.C. campaign certifies tourist destinations and resorts owned and operated by aboriginals, and giving special prominence to their culture. Five tourism operators now have the certification and the association hopes more will follow.
