TERRACOTTA ARMY INVADES VICTORIA China’s Terracotta Army will be on display in Victoria at the Royal BC Museum in late 2011 as part of a two-year national tour. The three other stops include the Royal Ontario Museum, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and the Glenbow Museum before finishing in Victoria. The tour will be different than the 2007-2008 London exhibit and will include pieces that have not left China previously. The exhibit will feature 300 artifacts and 18 life-sized sculptures of armoured generals, foot soldiers, chariot drivers and more. The pieces date back over 2,000 years to China’s Qin Dynasty. |
