TERRACOTTA ARMY INVADES VICTORIA
China’s Terracotta Army will be on display in Victoria at the Royal BC Museum in late 2011 as part of a two-year national tour. The three other stops include the Royal Ontario Museum, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and the Glenbow Museum before finishing in Victoria. The tour will be different than the 2007-2008 London exhibit and will include pieces that have not left China previously. The exhibit will feature 300 artifacts and 18 life-sized sculptures of armoured generals, foot soldiers, chariot drivers and more. The pieces date back over 2,000 years to China’s Qin Dynasty.
EDMONTON’S FESTIVAL CITY HIGHLIGHTS

CANADIAN TOURISM UP IN KOREA
Korean Tourism Office notes five per cent increase of Canadian travellers
The Korea Tourism Office (KTO) noted a five per cent increase of Canadian travelling to the country in 2009 and expects the trend to carry on into 2010. CRYSTAL CRUISES NOTES INCREASED SALES
Crystal Cruises announced its highest January sales in more than five years. Bookings for January 2010 are twice that of the same month in 2009. The company also notes new new-to-crystal guest bookings are already 89 per cent of last year’s total. European cruises are generating some of the strongest sales farthest out for the company and expects its Crystal Symphony cruise in Hawaii to sell out soon. One of the company’s Ausralia/New Zealand cruises is already full.
