PRINCESS & CUNARD’S WESTERN WINNER
Nadine Cardon of Terwillegar CruiseShipCenters in Edmonton, Alberta has won the grand prize in the Princess Cruises and Cunard Line OneSource Answers scavenger hunt. Cardon has won a seven-day cruise aboard Emerald Princess this summer to the Caribbean roundtrip from Ft. Lauderdale.
JAL GROUP IS ‘ECO-FIRST’
Today, the JAL Group (JAL) was recognized by the Ministry of the Environment of Japan as being the first company to be conferred the ‘Eco-First’ title since the inauguration of Japan's new administration. On this occasion, JAL made an ‘Eco-First Pledge’ in which it resolves to achieve a 23 per cent reduction in carbon dioxide emissions per revenue-ton-kilometre in the year 2020.

Air Canada launches the only non-stop flights linking Ottawa with Regina, Saskatchewan; flights on board AC Jazz
Today Air Canada is launching the only non-stop daily flights linking Ottawa with Regina, Saskatchewan. Non-stop flights from Regina to Ottawa will commence tomorrow morning, May 18. These flights also feature same-plane service to and from Montreal. Regina Airport Authority President and CEO, Jim Hunter stated that the Authority and all residents of Regina and southern Saskatchewan welcome this long awaited service. WESTJET & CATHAY PACIFIC TEAM UP
WestJet and Cathay Pacific launch interline agreement; connections through YVR with other western locations to come
WestJet and Cathay Pacific announced on Tuesday their inbound interline agreement to connect Cathay Pacific guests into WestJet's Canadian network. The inbound interline agreement allows guests to board a Cathay Pacific flight and travel on one itinerary to select destinations in WestJet's network. Initially, connections will be made through the gateways of Vancouver and Toronto, with the option to continue via WestJet to Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montréal and Halifax. NEW VISA POLICY FOR TRAVEL TO MEXICO
Mexican government launches new visa policy; intends to make it easier for travellers to visit
Effective May 1, the federal government of Mexico has launched a new visa policy, with the intention of making it easier for international tourists to travel to Mexico and to increase tourism. The new policy has two main provisions: 1. Tourists, business travellers and individuals of all nationalities travelling through Mexico to another country who currently require a Mexican visa and are in possession of a visa issued by the United States of America, can enter Mexico at any established border crossing point or port of entry with a passport from their country of origin. Keep reading for a complete a complete outline of the new visa requirements. Travel Professionals International have announced the appointment of Independent Agency Services Corporation's president, Phil Sproul to the board of directors of Hope Air. Hope Air is the national charity that provides free air healthcare transportation services to Canadians who cannot afford flight costs. During the length of Sproul's term, the board has been charged with consolidating the charity's mission, communications network and community outreach programs.
