Nolitours and Transat Holidays hosted a luncheon at Lift Restaurant in Vancouver yesterday to launch their new Sun 2010-2011 brochures, which feature a new destination, a new collection, a new promotion and a brand new look. ACTA says non-commissionable fees, lack of transparency and other issues affect cruise line expansion; seeks agents' first hand experiences
In a statement released yesterday, ACTA said it needs members to provide them with experiences and problems they have when booking for cruiselines. ACTA is seeking first-hand evidence of what they believe is a growing trend among cruise lines to expand: non-commissionable fees, lack of transparency and so-called taxes, including per person port fees, the statement said. Carnival Cruise Lines launches new Seattle-based Alaska program running until Aug. 31, 2010
Carnival Cruise Lines launched its first-ever cruise from Seattle on Tuesday when the 2,124-passenger Carnival Spirit departed on a seven-day voyage to Alaska. It was the first of 17 cruises that will bring some 40,000 passengers to the city this season. Carnival's new Seattle-based Alaska program will run through August 31, 2010. Keep reading for more. | JAL AND MU INCREASE CODESHARE FLIGHTS |

Japan Airlines (JAL) and China Eastern Airlines (MU) have agreed to expand their codeshare partnership. From June 3, 2010, JAL will start to codeshare on seven daily MU-operated flights between Shanghai (Pudong) and three other Chinese cities - Xi'an, Wuhan and Shenzhen. [Full text and pictures]
