Mexicana's position in the oneworld alliance is unaffected by the announcement that the airline has filed for insolvency proceedings in Mexico and bankruptcy protection in the U.S. to enable it to restructure into line with market conditions. Mexicana has stressed that it will continue to operate normally, in line with Mexican legislation covering such restructurings. Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) invites all its member travel agencies and agents to boost their cruise sales dramatically by participating in World's Largest Cruise Night (WLCN), the industry's largest promotion of the year and centrepiece of National Cruise Vacation Month. This year the date is October 13 and registration began August 3. In 2009 WLCN generated more than $45 million in cruise sales and almost $6 million in travel agent commissions.
