IT’S ADDISON SHOW TIME
Addison Travel Trade Shows are back and better than ever
The Addison Travel Trade Shows kick off the Fall season with a series of shows throughout Western Canada beginning in Vancouver September 3. The five-city series continues in Abbotsford, September 4, Victoria September 5, Calgary September 8 and finishes up in Edmonton on September 9. “We’re really excited about the Fall Series of shows,” says Rex Armstead, president Addison Travel Marketing. “We’ve got more booths, bigger venues and new exhibitors that will only enhance the already-great Addison experience.” Armstead is not the only one who is excited. The exhibitors are lining to secure their booths in record numbers. In fact, the Vancouver show is 95-per cent sold out and the Calgary, Regina and Saskatoon shows are over-sold. Alaska Airlines announced the closure of some air routes to Mexico, but due to a redirection of the aircrafts, the total number of passengers should be only marginally affected. The Secretariat of Tourism (SECTUR) and the Mexico Tourism Board (MTB) offered in return an effort to better promote the destinations.
