MEXICANA ADDS YYC, YEG ROUTES
Calgary and Edmonton get a direct link to Mexico City

Now Albertans have a direct link to Mexico, with recent additions to Mexicana Airlines’routes. As of June 1, 2008, Mexicana added direct flights to their Mexico City hub from Calgary and Edmonton. The Calgary flights fly four times weekly and the Edmonton route is scheduled three times a week. Passengers will enjoy a complimentary hot meal, movies, ample legroom and complimentary bar service.  In addition to Calgary and Edmonton, the airline now serves 5 cities across Canada, including Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. Calgary flight schedule: Flight 871 departs YYC 08:10, arrives MEX 14:35, flies 4x/week. Edmonton flight schedule: Flight 875 departs YEG 08:20, arrives MEX 15:00, flies 3x/week.


NO ‘FORE’ PLAY IN AB
This year, ACTA Alberta cancels annual golf tournament due to region manager maternity leave
ACTA has reported that the Alberta region golf tournament for 2008 will be cancelled. In a recent issue of ACTA Scoop, the organization stated, “A number of members in AB have inquired about the AB Golf Tourney. As most AB members will know, our region manager is on maternity leave and in spite of several attempts, we have been unable to find a resource in AB to organize the event. With regret, a 2008 tourney will not be possible but we'll be back in 2009!”
