WestJet introduces new non-stop routes to Las Vegas from Victoria, Regina and Saskatoon
WestJet has added new non-stop routes to Las Vegas from Victoria, Regina and Saskatoon this September. To celebrate the inaugural flights, WestJet and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor’s Authority created a “Vegas-esque” experience in each new city from check-in, through their flight until their arrival to Las Vegas. Showgirls greeted guests along with staff wearing Las Vegas themed attire upon check-in. Celebrations to send passengers off the “Las Vegas way” included mock-tails, and a live Elvis impersonator, who also boarded the flight. The inaugural flights began September 8, 2008 in Regina and September 9, 2008 in Victoria. They will continue today (September 10) in Saskatoon.

The Korea National Tourist office announces autumn festivities and highlights
Korea has approximately 400 festivals and events across every region throughout the year. This fall they have highlighted from the Andong Mask Dance Festival in central Korea to the Seoul Design Olympiad in Korea’s capital. The Andong Mask Dance Festival is held in the town of Andong. From September 26 to October 5 visitors can enjoy original mask performances by theme. Visit Busan from October 8 to 12 is when the Busan Jagalchi Festival takes place around the Jagalchi Fish Market. Performances, traditional celebrations, cooking competitions, free ferry rides, freshly caught raw or cooked seafood, a laser show and fireworks round out this festival.
