Rocky Mountaineer Vacations cuts 33 jobs
Canadian Press
Rocky Mountaineer Vacations is cutting 33 jobs as part of a restructuring plan to put more resources into sales and marketing. Company spokesman Ian Robertson said Tuesday the move will trim about four per cent of the workforce at the company that runs high-end train trips through B.C. and Alberta. “While it's an unfortunate decision and one that we'd rather not take it's a decision that will allow us to redirect resources in areas of the business that will help us grow,” Robertson said. He said among those leaving is the company's vice-president, who is taking early retirement at the end of December.
