CX REDUCES FUEL SURCHARGE
Fuel surcharges drop for tickets issued on or after Oct. 1, 2008
Cathay Pacific Airways has been notified by the Civil Aviation Department (CAD) of Hong Kong that it is one of the airlines granted approval to reduce its passenger fuel surcharge. In the case of Cathay Pacific, approval has been granted for a reduction in fuel surcharges, for a two-month period for tickets issued on or after 1 October 2008, to CAD$26.90 (HK$196) per sector for short-haul services in South and North East Asia and CAD$114.00 (HK$832) per sector for long-haul services. For travel departing and tickets issued in Canada, the newly reduced fuel surcharge is subject to approval from the Canadian authorities.  The current surcharges are CAD$29.60 (HK$231) for short-haul services and CAD$118.50 (HK$924) for long-haul services. NEW TIM HORTONS AT KELOWNA AIRPORT
Tim Hortons coffee and food services will soon be available for customers at Kelowna International Airport.  Construction on the new restaurant will begin October 1st and is expected to be open for business in time for the Christmas travel season.   The Airport’s Tim Hortons restaurant will be located in the current Skyway Restaurant serving passengers before they go through security.
