THNWest.com wants to recognize the hard work of professionals in the travel industry in Canada. The AWARDS OF MERIT 2007 highlight the constant efforts, often unnoticed, of professionals who have risen above everyone else in the Year 2007.
Who can participate in the contest?
All professionals and companies in the travel industry are invited to vote.
THIS CONTEST IS RESERVED TO TRAVEL PROFESSIONALS.
ONLY TRAVEL PROFESSIONALS MAY BE CANDIDATES AND VOTE.
Candidates may submit their own names or those of other professionals in the network or of companies by filling out the nomination form.
All nominees to THNWest.com AWARDS OF MERIT 2007 must be identified with actions or achievements related to 2007.

Travel agent of the Year
Your professionalism has brought added value to your company and the industry at large. Along with your team, you have combined creativity and efficiency.
Canadian Travel agent of the Year 2007
This Year, THNWest.com wants to recognize the professionalism of travel agents by awarding the prize of Canadian Travel agent of the Year 2007 to an agent in Canada who stood out throughout the Year 2007 for his/her outstanding work.
The Canadian travel industry will be asked to vote among three travel agent finalists in Logimonde’s three magazines: TRAVELHotNews.com (Canada) THNWest.com (Vancouver, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba) and Expressvoyage.ca (Québec)
The Canadian Travel agent of the Year 2007 will win a trophy, presented to the winner by ACT Communications / Logimonde Inc..
Reservation agent of the Year (Wholesaler and Consolidator)
The quality of your services has contributed in promoting your company to travel agencies in Canada.
Representative of the Year (Wholesaler, cruises, insurances, hotel chains, airlines, others)
The quality of your services has highlighted the products and services of your company to travel agencies in Canada.

Your sales strategy and client services have produced a major impact on your company’s results. Your methods, traditional or interactive, have allowed you to reach your target clientele efficiently. You have developed an original strategy, or different approaches or you’ve helped the travel industry with your ideas and actions.
Wholesaler or Consolidator of the Year
Your sales strategy and client services has brought added value to your company. Along with your team, you have combined creativity and efficiency in answering the needs of travel agents throughout Canada in terms of product reservations and problem solving (client services)
Airline Company of the Year (charter flights and regular flights)
Your sales strategy and client services has brought added value to your company. Along with your team, you have combined creativity and efficiency in answering the needs of travel agents throughout Canada in terms of product reservations and problem solving (client services)
Cruise Line Company of the Year
Your sales strategy and client services has brought added value to your company. Along with your team, you have combined creativity and efficiency in answering the needs of travel agents throughout Canada in terms of product reservations and problem solving (client services)
Tourism Board of the Year
You provided a highly positive view of your region through promotion and responded to the needs of your clientele. Your client services were remarkable.
Agency Chain or Consortium of the Year
You looked after your members’ interests in an outstanding way all year long. You are aware of the problems and always come up with fast and efficient solutions to answer everyone’s needs.
Other (Tourism school, computer technology, travel insurance, hotel chain etc)
One of those enterprises, with its positive actions in 2007 among travel professionals, will win the honour for this category.
Personality of the Year 2007
Personality of the Year 2007
This individual has risen above all throughout the year 2007. This first prize recognizes this exceptional person’s value in deserving the industry’s respect for his (her) competence and passion for his (her) profession.
Canadian Personality of the Year 2007
This Year, THNWest.com wants to recognize the professionalism of someone who stood out throughout the Year 2007 for his/her outstanding work by awarding the prize of Canadian Personality of the Year 2007.
The Canadian travel industry will be asked to vote among the three finalists for Personality of the Year in Logimonde’s three magazines: TRAVELHotNews.com (Canada) THNWest.com (Vancouver, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba) and Expressvoyage.ca (Québec)
The Canadian Personality of the Year 2007 will win a trophy of honour presented to the winner by ACT Communications / Logimonde Inc..

From February 25, 2008 to March 09, 2008 : Presentation of the three travel agents of the Year and the three Personality of the Year of the magazines TRAVELHotNews.com, THNWest.com and ExpressVoyage.ca and the last round of votes to determine the grand prize winners. |
