In 2008, UTWC demonstrated: Responsiveness - A review and redesign of the membership program to allow a more customized menu of services and pricing ensured a 100% membership renewal rate and lower costs in the face of a tightening economy. Committment to member efficiency and effectiveness support- Investments in and enhancements to centrally provided technologies drove offline and online bookings up and transaction processing times down (e.g. from 10 minutes avg PNR admin time to <2 minutes/txn). Enhanced support for membership growth - Centralized email and direct mail promotions drove double digit increases in the size of agency databases and increased inquiries both online and offline.The teleprospecting program for corporate accounts ensured hundreds of quality appointments with corporate decision makers. Revenue enhancement support- All members earned top tier commissions AND back end incentives on all Preferred Suppliers on the strength of superior collective performance. Social responsibility- through the Laurie Radloff Foundation and Plan Canada, the support of the girls schools, water wells and microfinancing projets in East Africa continued. Professional Development - Uniglobe hosted the largest single "sitting" for a CITC exam than any other travel group at the annual Regional Conference.
