G7 Travel Network has announced the appointment of Emmet Reidy as vice president and general manager. Reidy will be responsible for delivering sales and marketing strategies, establishing regional and national sales goals, soliciting new associate members for the G7 Network and maintaining strategic supplier relationships.
The appointment lines up with the company’s launch as a new Canadain Travel Association focused on managing its agencies sales and growth opportunities.
Reidy was formerly director of sales, national accounts, for WestJet and WestJet Vacations.
Kevin Murphy, president with Boulevard Travel and president of G7 said with Emmet Reidy’s appointment comes the personal respect that he has within the industry, and the benefit and knowledge that he will deliver to all G7 associates.
Murphy also said Reidy’s drive and enthusiasm will be key for the group as it grows its presence in the Canadian marketplace.
